Good morning, friendly readers.
I wonder what you are doing right now.
May I share my “right now?” Facing East, the sun has risen, it’s now 8:22 a.m., a bunny rabbit just chased another across the back yard, the sun is shining through the trees and it’s cold, but its winter, so that’s to be expected.
Dottie, my Dalmation, already had three walks, and enjoys the cold weather, and today, here in this subtropic part of Florida, it dipped to 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Lovely frost on the clover and weeds and grass as I dog-walked, tears running down my eyes from the cold shiver of this neighborhood, and today, I wore my movie star coat, bought on close-out sale from J. Peterson’s catalogue, and after two years on the hangar, it’s the right color and day to wear it.
This year’s fashion colors include white and beige and such lightness as that. Gold accents. Saw it in a Ralph Lauren Internet fashion show, confirmed with another Internet story. I’m ready.
Lovely linen, bought on sale, and other baggy clothes, usually bought on sale. I’m into baggy pants, and those are the pants I get complimented on, often. They are elegant and flowy.
Come to think of it, I’ve never been complimented on any skinny jeans. Maybe because they actually make people uncomfortable, forcing them to look at our thighs and buttock shapes. I’d rather look elegant unless I’m working to attract my husband’s attention.
Today, I woke up remembering the great words of my successful relative, Paul. “I just do my best everyday.”
Mantra: I do my best everyday. I do my best everyday. I will strive to do my best everyday. Today is a best day. Best. Today. Best day. Strive. I will.
“I just do my best everyday.”
